accessories should highlight your face, drawing attention to you, rather than overpowering your look.

  1. Its best to have a rough idea of how you will be wearing your hair before you start looking for your accessories, but there is nothing wrong with falling in love with a piece and altering your style to suit.
  2. Match the detail of your dress to the detail on your tiara.  If you are buying a made to order accessory, ask to see samples of the beading that is being used, or send samples from your dress to the jeweller making the accessories
  3. Try not to mix styles, if you have a simple, Grecian dress its best not to wear a heavily beaded large scale tiara.
  4. If you are unsure about matching the colour of your dress, go for a design that uses only crystals, not pearls, so the shades of white and ivory won’t clash.
  5. If you have short hair, don’t discount wearing a traditional tiara – it can look absolutely stunning and compliment your hair perfectly.
